Pour Over

Pour Over coffee has a clean taste and allows for high clarity of flavors. The flavor varies depending on the coffee beans used.

Ingredients

  • 30 g. coarsely ground coffee beans
  • 480 ml. water

Steps

  1. Pour water into a kettle and bring to a boil.
  2. Grind the coffee beans coarsely using a burr grinder.
  3. Place the pour over cone on top of a carafe or mug.
  4. Rinse the filter with hot water to remove any paper taste and to preheat the pour over cone.
  5. Discard the rinse water.
  6. Pour the ground coffee into the filter.
  7. Start a timer and pour just enough water over the grounds to wet them and allow them to bloom for 30 seconds.
  8. Pour the remaining water in a circular motion, starting from the center and working your way outwards, trying to saturate all the grounds evenly.
