Cold Brew

Cold Brew coffee is brewed with cold water over a long period. It has a sweet, syrupy taste and is less acidic and smoother than hot brewed coffee.

Ingredients

  • 75 g. coarsely ground coffee beans
  • 1000 ml. water
  • Ice (optional)

Steps

  1. Grind the coffee beans coarsely using a burr grinder.
  2. Place the ground coffee in a large jar or pitcher.
  3. Pour the water over the grounds and stir to ensure all the grounds are fully saturated.
  4. Cover the jar or pitcher and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, or up to 24 hours.
  5. Strain the cold brew concentrate through a fine-mesh strainer or coffee filter to remove the grounds.
  6. Serve the cold brew concentrate over ice, or dilute with water or milk to taste.
